Standard cooking vessel is a professional tools to perform the normal operation test for induction hob elements, induction hotplates and induction cooking appliance. It can meet the test requirements of IEC60335-2-6:2014 clause 3.1.9.101, IEC60335-2-9:2019 clause 3.1.9.105 and CISPR14-1:2016.
1. What material is used?
Low carbon steel has a maximum carbon content of 0.08%, is used to manufature the standard cooking vessels. However, according to authoritative testing, the carbon content of the steel used by PEGO is ≤ 0.06%.
2. What is the sharp of the standard cooking vessels?
Regularly, the standard cooking vessels has a circular shape (φ110mm, φ145mm, φ180mm, φ220mm/φ210mm, φ300mm), non-circular vessels can be customized for testing non-circular cooking zones.
The vessel is cylindrical without metallic handles or protrusions. The diameter of the flat area of the base of the vessel is to be at least the diameter of the cooking zone. The maximum concavity of the base of the vessel is 0.06d. The base of of the vessel is not to be convex. The surface is sprayed with high temperature non-stick coating.
For testing the induction hotplates and induction cooking appliance (as per IEC60335-2-9:2019 and CISPR14-1:2016), base and wall thickness is 2mm±0.5mm. However, for testing the induction hob elements (as per IEC60335-2-6:2014), the wall thickness of the vessel also is 2mm±0.5mm, but there is different requirement for the base thickness: 2mm±0.5mm for ≤ φ145mm vessels, 3mm±0.5mm for >φ145mm and ≤φ240mm vessels, and 5mm±0.5mm for >φ240mm vessels.
3. How to select the right size?
As per the standard requirements, the diameter of the bottom of the vessel is approximately equal to the diameter of the cooking zone.
4. Why Pego?
PEGO adopts one-piece molding technology to produce the vessel, the base and wall of the vessel are made of one piece of material, without any gaps. The cost is higher, but it is more duration.
However, in the market, the wall of the vessel is fixed to the base by welding, this process saves materials and reduces production costs, but it is not durable and will leak after long-term use.
5. What liquid can be contained in the vessel?
As per stanard requirement, the cooking oil is applied to test.
