1. What's is the coupler pull-out force test device?
The coupler pull-out force test device, also named as appliance coupler maximum and minimum withdrawal force test apparatus. It's strictly designed according to IEC60320-1:2021 clause 16 figure 3 and table 5, and is used to verify the maximum extraction force of the connector or appliance outlet. The minimum withdrawal force test is achieved by inserting a single-pin gauge in manual.
Multi-pin gauge (for maximum withdrawal force test) | As per the standard sheet of connector/appliance outlet |
Single pin gauge (for minimum withdrawal force test) | As per the standard sheet of connector/appliance outlet |
Heating temperature | R.T.~180℃ (pre-settable) |
Mass configuration (maximum withdrawal force) | 45N*1 5N*1 4N*1, 6N*1 The mass of hook is counted into the 45N mass
|
Mass configuration (minimum withdrawal force) | 1.5N*1, 2N*1 Notes: the mass of the single pin is counted into the corresponding mass |
Working power | AC220V±10%/50-60Hz |
Working condition | Temperature: 5-35℃, R.H.: 30%~90% |
Dimension and weight | W400mm*D300mm*H800mmm/40KG |
Table 5- Maximum and Minimum Withdrawal Forces
Type of connetor/appliance outlet | Withdrawal force (N)
Multi-pin gauge Maximum | Single-pin gauge Minimum
0.2A, 2.5A, 6A and 10A | 50 | 1.5 |
16A | 60 | 2 |
The pull-out force test device is composed of control cabinet, the frame, steel mounting plate, heating device, appliance inlet/plug connector (multi-pin gauge maximum and single-in gauge), clamp, supplementary mass and principal mass. The frame is mate of steel, the supplementary mass, the principal mass and the appliance inlet/plug connector (multi-pin gauge for maximum extraction test and single-pin gauge for minimum extraction test) are made of S16 anti-corrosion mirror steel which with magnetic and rust-proof characteristic. The appliance inlet/plug connector (multi-pin gauges) and single-pin gauges can be customized according to the figure no. of the IEC60320-3.
1) When the maximum withdrawal force is applied, the test connector/plug outlet is disengaged from the appliance inlet/plug connector and is judged as qualified.
When the maximum withdrawal force is applied, the connector/plug outlet does not disengage, and the supplementary mass can be fall from a height of 50mm onto the principal mass. The plug is still judged as qualified if it is disengaged, otherwise it is judged as unqualified.
2)When the minimum withdrawal force is applied, within 3s, the test single-pin gauge remains in the contact assembly of the connector/plug outlet, which is judged as qualified, otherwise it is judged as unqualified.
1)Ensure the safety of electricity use and avoid leakage;
2)Keep the machine clean at all time
3)The surface temperature of the heating device is very high. Do not touch or come into contact with the heating test device during the test.
4)The appliance inlet/plug connector and single test pin gauges are precision-sized parts, so do not collide with them;
5)Do not place the mass in a wet place.
In summary, Pego testing equipment can pass the calibration from third-party lab authorized by ISO17025 and we also can provide more high-quality equipment according to different international standards.
