The low-carbon steel test vessels referred in this article is produced in accordance with the requirements of the standard IEC60335-2-6 Figure 102 for testing induction hob elements. In the standard, the wall thickness (A), base thickness, the maximum concavity(C), the diameter (d) and the height (e) are all have detail instructions, and the description is as follows:
The vessels are made of low carbon steel having a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. It is cylindrical without metallic handles or protrusions. The diameter of the flat area of the base of the vessel shall be at least the diameter of the cooking zone. The base of the vessel shall not be convex. The concavity of the base of the vessel shall not exceed 0.6% of its diameter.
But for the base thickness, the standard IEC60335-2-6 in version 2014 and version 2004 are slightly different. In the 2004 version, the bottom thickness of all sizes is required to be 2mm±0.5mm. However, in the 2014 version, the requirements for base thickness of each size are different, vessels with d<145mm, the base thickness is required to be 2mm±0.5mm; d=145mm to 240mm, the base thickness is required to be 3mm±0.5mm; d>240mm, and the base is required to be 5mm±0.5mm.
The low carbon steel test vessels also can meet the requirement of IEC60335-2-9 figure 104, but the standard IEC60335-2-9 in version 2002 and version 2019, the base thickness has no difference, both are 2mm±0.5mm.
Therefore, please confirm the standards to be met with the sales when inquiring, so that we can quote you correctly.
