1.2/50 μs Surge Generator EMC Test equipment with 10KV Open Circuit Output Voltage and 20A CDN
LSG-1020 Lighting Surge System is confirmed to IEC61000-4-5 and GB/T17626.5. It is the equipment used for Anti-Surge performance test for electronic and electrical products in the industry process measurement and control device. It includes Coupling/ Decoupling Network (CDN), which can be used for the Surge immunity test in the power line.
There are two main reasons causing lightning shock:
Switching transients is related with the following factors:
1). The switch disturbance of the main power supply, such as the switching of capacitor bank.
2). The start or stop of other devices near the tested equipment, as well as the changes of the load in the power distribution system.
3). Switching the SCR device with resonance circuit.
4). All kinds of system failures, such as short circuit and arc fault of equipment grounding network or grounding system.
The Lightning Transient
The generating mechanism of lightning transient:
1). The lighting hits directly external (outdoor) line and injects large amount of current, which flows through the ground resistance or surge impedance generates voltage in external line.
2). Indirect lightning (clouds within or lightning between clouds) may induce voltage in the circuit line in or out the building.
3). It will form an electromagnetic field when a lightning shock did not hit the line but the objects near the line and the electromagnetic field can cause the induced voltage of the external circuit line.
4). The generated interference is produced when lightning current nearby equipment discharges directly and the lightning ground current flows and couples in the public grounding system of equipment.
5). In addition, the rapid changing of current and voltage may also be coupled into the interior of the equipment when some protectors of the equipment are incentive.
2. Introduction of Surge Generator:
LSG-6K10 surge generator is designed according to IEC61000-4-5 and GB/T17626.5,and completely meet the requirements of the standards. It is widely used in the fields of industry control equipment, house-holding appliance,medical electronics, communications electronics,components, auto control equipment and etc.
Lightning surge generator is to simulate the surge voltage caused by switching transient and lightning transient, the surge test is to found out the surge voltage effect to EUT in normal working condition.
The lightning surge generator can generates both 1.2/50, 8/20 µs combination wave. The open circuit output voltage is from 0.2KV~10KV, and short-circuit output current is up to 5KA, ser can choose and define the test levels. The parameters of waveform for surge voltage and waveform for surge current is strictly meet the standard requirements of IEC61000-4-5.
The Lightning surge generator is built in a 3 phase 380V/20A coupling and decoulping network, the coupling mode includes L1-N,L2-N,L3-N, L1-PE,L2-PE,L3-PE,N-PE.
