IEC60335-2-24 Vacuum Cleaner Test Apparatus for Testing the Abrasion Resistance of Current-Carry Hose

3. Introduction
Current-carry hose abrasion resistance test apparatus is designed according to IEC60335-2-2 clause 21.102 figure 101 and IEC60335-2-24 clause 21.102 and figure 101, it is applied to test the current carry hoses of vacuum cleaners resistant to abrasion. One end of the hose is attached to the connecting rod of the crank mechanism, the crank rotates at 30r/min resulting in the end of the hose moving horizontally backwards and forwards over a distance of 300mm. The hose is supported by a rotating smooth roller over which a belt of abrasive cloth moves at a speed of 0.1m/min. A mass of 1kg is suspended from the other end of the hose, which is guided to rotation. In the lowest position, the mass has a maximum distance of 600mm from the center of the roller. The test is carried out for 100 revolution of the crank.
