This cord retention testing apparatus is designed according to IEC60884-1 clause 23.2 figure 20 standards. It evaluates the effectiveness of cable retention by cord anchorage systems in various electrical components including removable plugs, removable mobile sockets, non-rewirable plugs, and rewirable mobile sockets.
Testing Methodology
The equipment subjects flexible cables to repeated pulls of 50N, 60N, 80N, or 100N at a rate of 60 times per minute. Each test applies 100 pulls practically without jerks at a frequency of 1 time per second.
